life holds everyone to super fucking high standards. people complain about how girls have it hard because of the image society has based on porn based on celebrities based on fashion magazines. but what i dont think a lot of people think about is that boys are held to just as high of standards (if not even higher - see the picture above for reference. his body is ‘average’.). they are expected to have a 8 pack, be smart, and funny too. in addition these physical and personality traits, they are expected to ask people on dates, pay for it all, and be the one who makes shit happen in the relationship. and on top of it all, when anything goes wrong - they cant talk to anyone or else they are weak, or are acting like a girl. I know these aren’t my original thoughts, but they are thoughts that i have. why cant i cry to my friend while eating a pint of ben and jerry’s half baked when a boy doesnt like me back? why cant someone take me on a date for once? I dont want the world handed to me on a silver platter - i just think it should be a little more balanced than it is now.

everything happens in a cycle. you go up, you go down. you do good, you do bad. good things happen, bad things happen. why does the bad make us forget the good?
